Description:

What would you do if you learned your life was a lie?

All her life, Kelli Huddleston has been told the story of a fire--a fire that killed her mother and two siblings when she was an infant. After her father's death though, she uncovers evidence of a different story, including clippings about a boat accident that killed a young father and his infant daughter. And Kelli quietly realizes the story of her life has been a fiction.

Review:

I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Could you imagine for a moment growing up your whole life thinking, believing that you had lost most of your family?  What a hole that would leave in your heart?  But then after losing what is left of your family, you find out there's more than meets the eye...

The author does a spectacular job of taking us through the emotions of the main character Kelli after she goes through all of that.  She loses her dad then, heap on top of that, finding out he'd been deceiving her her whole life.  I believe I would probably just completely fall apart.  Kelli's character is a strong one.  She has great friends to help see her through.

I'm a big fan of these type of stories.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading this tale of heart-break, adventure, acceptance, love, and self-realization.  Kelli is a wonderful character and her story is full of ups and downs.  I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
