Review:
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.  I would rate this book at 3.5-4 stars. The content is great, but the editing leaves a bit to be desired.  It's not terrible editing mistakes, the proofreaders need to go back through once more.

I enjoyed reading this book.  It is a great self-help book.   The author takes you through the steps she takes her regular clients through to try to help them restore balance in their lives.  This would be a wonderful tool for those looking for a little guidance.  For those who need a nudge in the right direction and don't want to go to a therapist.  Or for those who might not be ready to admit they need a bit of help.  That's a difficult thing to do as most all of us feel like we should be able to do everything on our own.

To start out, Carol Whitaker takes the reader through steps and exercises to increase self love.  I would imagine there are a tremendous number of folks out there who don't love themselves as much as they could.  The exercises are simple and straight forward.  The difficult part is making yourself try.  She does give you tips on how to get over that initial hump though.

This is a Christian based approach.  This is not only directing you toward being a better version of yourself, but also having a better spiritual life.  This is not a pound you over the head with scripture book.  This is a gentle nudge.  If you're not a Christian you can still read this book to gain a better appreciation for yourself as well as your spirit.

The second section deals with how you think.  What you put in is what you get back.  If you're willing to give this method a try, you'll see that if you change how you think about yourself, your surroundings, and your attitude, you will see your life evolve into something better.  More blessings because you're living from an attitude of gratitude.

The third section is all about your desire to change, change for the better.  Here she shows the steps to take more responsibility for your thoughts and actions.  You will see that as you make goals for yourself and go after them you will achieve more and more.

The fourth section is affirming to yourself you can do what you set out to do.  You will go through steps to visualize what you want, using a board to physically see what you're after, then allowing yourself to accept the outcome.  If you can allow yourself to dream and believe in your dreams, you will start seeing them manifest in your life.

The fifth and final section is how to transform your body.  Most women I know are not happy with they're physical appearance.  I know I'm not.  After going through the exercises for your mind and spirit in the first four sections, this last one will pull it all together by helping you improve your outward appearance.

I believe this book is intended for women of all walks of life who are ready to make themselves better.  Those who want to feel better about themselves so they can be better for their family and friends.  Try a little experiment...  When you know you're going to be around a group, those you trust and respect, choose to be happy.  You don't have to be overly bubbly or anything like that.  See if they don't respond more positively toward you.  The biggest point in the book is that the choice is up to you.  It will always come back to what you choose.
